In Office Lab Testing

Our laboratory is a CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) certified laboratory following all regulations mandated by the federal government and the Indiana Department of Health. It is equipped with state of the art equipment leased from Beckman Coulter. Early detection is the single, most important advantage a patient can have to survive life-threatening diseases. The equipment in our office provides the tests our physicians need to aid in the diagnosis and management of a variety of acute and chronic diseases.

Beckman Coulter UniCel DxC 600
Synchron Clinical System

This device runs blood tests on the serum portion of the blood. These include tests on the kidneys, liver, blood proteins, blood sugar, and calcium. We are also able to test your blood fats, including total cholesterol, triglycerides, and HDL and LDL cholesterol, as well as iron levels in your blood.

Beckman Coulter Access 2
Immunoassay System

This device is used for thyroid blood tests and PSA’s. We can detect and manage hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. The PSA is a screening test for prostate cancer in men.

Beckman Coulter LH 500

This device performs hematology tests (CBC). A complete blood count checks the blood tests themselves. It measures the number of different types of blood cells, their sizes, and their appearance. It is a very common and useful blood test. This test is usually done to see if you have anemia (too few red blood cells) or to see if you have a high level of white blood cells, which is often a sign of infection.

Our laboratory can perform urinalyses and also the blood test called a Hemoglobin A1C, which is used in the care of people who have diabetes. The hemoglobin A1C percentage is a way of looking at your average blood sugar control over a 2 to 3 month period.
